SUSTAINABILITY AT DEVSHAKTI

Where Nature Leads the Way

Breathe easy in a space where nature leads the way. Chalet DevShakti runs on solar energy and rainwater harvesting systems, with flourishing kitchen gardens supplying fresh, seasonal produce. The estate is proudly plastic-free, with all organic waste composted and reused in the gardens. From farm to fork, we nurture the earth—so it can nurture you.

Rooted in Nature, Committed to Sustainability

At Chalet DevShakti, we are deeply committed to eco-conscious living and sustainable hospitality. The chalet is powered by solar energy and supported by a functional rainwater harvesting system—both seamlessly integrated into daily operations. Surrounding our mountain homes are thriving kitchen gardens, where, for much of the year, we grow seasonal produce like cabbage, capsicum, tomatoes, peas, and a variety of saags. These homegrown essentials often find their way into the meals served to our guests, offering a true taste of the land.

We take pride in being a plastic-free zone. We kindly request that if you must bring plastic items, you take them back with you when you leave. In the kitchen, vegetable waste is not discarded—it’s thoughtfully composted and returned to the soil as nourishment. This nutrient-rich compost helps our gardens flourish. When additional manure is required, we rely solely on organic options like cow dung, consciously avoiding the use of chemical fertilizers.

Sustainability, for us, is not a trend but a way of life—rooted in care, community, and respect for the environment. Through mindful choices and small everyday practices, we hope to create a space that not only soothes the soul but also nurtures the earth.

Education. Empowerment. Equality. The SuRaVi Way

We work under the aegis of our registered Trust “SuRaVi”, dedicated to community service with a focus on education and skill development in remote Indian villages. At present, SuRaVi is active in rural Uttarakhand and West Bengal, where our initiatives aim to bridge educational gaps through remote lessons conducted in close coordination with school headmasters.

In addition to education, we are expanding into skills development programs by collaborating with partner organizations. These efforts particularly focus on empowering the girl child and women, enabling them to acquire sustainable livelihoods and fostering long-term community growth.
